VACATION !!!



We are happy to report that we all survived our first plane ride and family trip. Actually, not only did we survive, we had a great time and tons of fun. The girls were so well behaved on the flights and the whole week we were away. They earned another family trip next Spring :)

A huge thank you to Nana Mary for letting us use her house and Nana and Papa for dealing with us for 6 whole days !!

We were lucky enough to also see Paul and swim in his warm and wonderful pool. The girls loved it and are now asking for a pool in our back yard. I am not sure who had more fun in the pool, the girls or Papa :)

One day we took the day off from the beach and went to the Twins spring training game. I think Isabelle's favorite part was the cotton candy, Cracker Jack, and slushy.

Wow - It has been 3 Months!!!

Plain and simple - we got lazy!!!  Well maybe a little busy too!!! Quick wrap up of the last 3 months: Christmas came, New Years followed, Snow came (oh wait it didn't!) and spring weather followed, Isabelle learned how to ice skate, Ellie is potty-trained, Isabelle is signed up for Kindergarten (yup she is turning 5 in August!), Ellie is off to Pre-School in a few weeks, Isabelle is trying new foods, Ellie is talking up a storm, Isabelle and Ellie each have 5 boyfriends, Ellie got her hair cut, and we booked a trip to Florida.

The holidays were fun and hectic, life has been fun and hectic - throw working into the whole mix and we barely have time to breath :-).  In addition, we did get a new computer and camera for Christmas and let me tell you us "old folks" don't deal well with change ;-)  We are just about up to speed with all the "ilities" of the new "fancy" computer and camera.....

Anyways, here are a few pictures from the past few months.  Mary and I promise to update "the blog" more often as the girls continue to grow and inch one step closer to college :-)  Sometimes it feels like they are old enough to go......not only are they "wicked smart" but they have us wrapped around their fingers :-)  Great life lessons they are learning!

The past few weeks have been busy with weddings, babies, holidays, trophies, ice skating, beach visits, trees falling, friends visiting and overall craziness.  Below is a few snapshots we captured along the way.  Life continues to be a wild ride with these fun loving girls but we wouldn't have it any other way.  Enjoy!

Isabelle played on a soccer team this past Fall. She loved it and actually scored the game winning goal (on her own net) in the last game of the season ;-)  We are very proud of Isabelle and her athletic endeavors :-)

Our friend Isaac came to visit us from CA in October. While we were all at a wedding, a nasty storm swept through the North East dropping some heavy wet snow.  As you can see from above, a tree fell into our yard - luckily missing our house and causing minimal damage!  It was great to hang out with Isaac and the girls had a blast carving pumpkins and tackling Isaac.

Although Halloween was postponed in our town due to the storm mentioned earlier, that didn't stop us from having fun with our neighbors.  We hosted a fantastic party on Halloween and begged for candy later in the week.  It was a week of fun and candy and the girls enjoyed parading around the neighborhood on a warm Fall night.

A special Congratulations to our friends Marc and Jill on the birth of their beautiful little girl - Mia! We were lucky enough to hang out with them a bit and meet little Mia. Congratulations and good luck!

A nice Thanksgiving tradition is seeing Aunt Eileen!!  She traveled up from NJ and spent some time with us. The girls had a blast with Aunt Eileen while doing puzzles, going for walks, making desserts and just overall silliness.  Grammy made a fantastic turkey and all the extras one could ever want.  We sure have a lot to be thankful for.

Also on the Thanksgiving holiday, we traveled up to Nana and Papa's house.  We had a great time seeing our North Shore family and enjoying the beautiful weather while partaking in Happy Hour!  Mary and I took Isabelle for a little hike and had a great time launching rocks into the ocean ; our arms were sore!

Isabelle went skating as well over Thanksgiving.  She had a blast making her way around the rink and although she fell a few times, she got right back up and yelled "I don't care".  She wants to go back and we hope it is for the skating aspect and not the candy and soda!
