Dog Days of Summer :-)

We got lazy :-). Here are two weeks worth of posts!

Last week we headed to the beach with our friends Marc, Jill and Michelle! Isabelle loved seeing her friends and hanging out in the sand, sun and "blanket of fun". She loves her buckets, shovels and of course her sippy cup!!

This past weekend was a lot of fun as we headed to a "family reunion". As you might imagine, Mary's immediate and extended family is quite large!! It is amazing to see the connections and listen to the wonderful stories that span generations. If you look closely (second from the left in the first row) you will see Mary's Mom in the black and white photo. In addition, Mary's Nana is in the first row standing third in from the right! Amazing!

We have been enjoying our summer and as always it is going by too quickly!!

Horses, Pools and Stairs - Oh My!?

The weekend started out with a "bang" as Nana and Papa babysat on Friday for Miss Isabelle. We had a great time hanging out and talking about some of Isabelle's new tricks including crawling, more scooting, talking and even some standing up!

Saturday we headed South to RI to visit our AZ friends. Miss Juliana is now 6 years old!! Miss Amelia was so cute as always as she helped her "sista" celebrate the big day. As you can see from the pictures there was a lot of fun to be had including tours of CrumbPicker Cottage and amazing horse rides. Even the birthday girl's Nana got involved with the fun - cowgirl up!!

Sunday was spent lounging by the Grammy and Grampy's pool. Miss Isabelle took it all in from her "buggy". She was a bit cautious at first but really "warmed up" to the pool!! Another great summer weekend with family and friends!! Thanks everyone for the memories!

4th of July

Isabelle had a very busy holiday weekend. We were all over the place !!

First we headed up to Nana and Papa's for the annual fourth of July festivities. Although it was a rainy morning, Isabelle still enjoyed her first 4th of July parade. She loved the steel drum bands and bag pipers the most.

After the parade we headed to Pete and Christina's for a cook out. Isabelle bonded with Molly and is no longer afraid of dogs :)

Next we headed back to Beth and Bruce's for another cook out. As always it was a great time with tons of food and tons of family. Thank you for hosting this event every year. Isabelle loved playing with her cousins and some new friends. A special thanks to James for giving Isabelle her bottle. You are a natural. And thanks to Nana and Papa for letting us stay with you.

On Saturday we had some friends over for a cook out. Aside from a lost boccie ball we had a great time. It was great to see Tim and Jen. We can't wait until you move back North. Isabelle misses you guys.

On Sunday we relaxed in the morning and Isabelle tried out her new swing. Thank you for installing her swing Grampy !! She loves it and we will be spending many hours out in the backyard in that swing.

Then we headed to Will's first birthday party. Isabelle, Will, and Nora all got along very well. It was so nice to see all of the kids together. Will was a great host I think he enjoyed his birthday cake. Isabelle had her first few bites of ice cream. She seemed to enjoy it as much as Mommy and Daddy !!

Weekend at the Cape

We spent the weekend at the Cape. A special thanks to Tim and Julie for their hospitality. I owe Mary a special spa treat at some point to thank her for her patience. I got to play golf, drink a beer or two and catch up with the boys pretty much guilt free. Isabelle fit right in with the boys and it was awesome to see her beat Mikey in arm wrestling, punch Dave in the nose, smile at Marc and Jay, chill with Bry at the beach, clean the floors for Tim and scoot for Kev.

Olivia, Julie, Mary and Isabelle went shopping and had some "girl time" as well. It was a fabulous weekend spent with our great friends.

Weekend of fun in the sun - sort of :-)

We had a great weekend. Mary and I went to the Sox game on Friday night. The Sox were playing the Cardinals and were honoring the Celtics. The rains came just as Lucky started waving the Celtics flag from the class duck-boat! Paul Pierce slide safely into second base and threw a "strike" to Varitek - well sort of! The Sox lost but Mary and I still enjoyed "date night".

Spent the rest of the weekend at the beach - well not literally but "a day at the beach is time well spent". The waves were large and the water was frigid! Isabelle loved the sand and got plenty in her diaper and mouth :-) She laughed at her crazy cousins as they dug to China and then got buried!

A happy belated Father's Day to Papa!! We all love ya! A special thanks to Nana and Papa for their wonderful Isabelle sitting skills allowing us to enjoy "date night"!! In addition, Happy Birthday to Peggy!!!

Father's Day

This weekend was Father's Day Weekend. Notice the use of the Weekend term :-) I used this time to do some items like mow the lawn, work on the Jeep, go to the "dump" and clean the house among other things. We spent Sunday at Grammy and Granpy's house hanging out and had a nice dinner. If I can be half the dad that my Dad is to me then Isabelle is a lucky girl. I am lucky enough to have a wonderful family, a great wife and a spectacular daughter that enables me to now "officially" celebrate Father's Day :-)

It's hot.......

The summer is starting to sizzle!! As a result, it was time to give Isabelle an "up do". Isabelle got a new summer hair style and seems to really love it. Our little "cave girl" became "pebbles like" over night as she tries to stay "cool". Isabelle also spent time in her kiddie pool - we learned she doesn't like to be splashed :-) and she made her first "official" trip to the beach. The water was really cold but Isabelle played with the sand and watched her cousins get into lots of trouble :-). We got to catch up with Danielle, Christina and Pete while relaxing at our little piece of heaven. The weekend also brought a time to celebrate Grammy's birthday (yes it was a big one). Happy Birthday to Grammy and we all love you! Enjoy the week and "stay cool!"
