Sickness, Birthdays, and Retirement

This work thing is really getting in the way of my blogging !
Now that I am back to work I have no time to breath, let alone blog. So the new mantra of this blog is quality, not quantity :)

The past few weeks have been very busy. All 4 of us have had some form of sickness. Ellie had her first cold and it was a doozy ! Isabelle had her first ear infection, well actually it was a double ear infection. And George and I both had nasty colds. But we are all feeling better now.

Through all of the snots and sleepless nights I also celebrated my birthday. To celebrate we had Reese's Peanut Butter ice cream cake and it was fantastic. Isabelle and Ellie made me a very special card at school. It made my day. (see pictures below).

This past week Nana officially retired after working for 22 years. There was a wonderful ceremony to thank her and to celebrate all that she has done over the past 22 years. We are so proud of Nana and now that she has all of this free time we can't wait to see her and Papa all the time. We love you Nana. Congratulations and enjoy your well deserved retirement :):)

Christmas 2009- Ellie's First Christmas

We had a great holiday and were able to see so many special people. Ellie's first Christmas was really fun for all of us. But she slept through most of the festivities. We are still recovering from Christmas so that is why this post is so overdue :)

It is a Christmas Eve tradition to get together with neighborhood friends after dinner. We used to stay out much later with these friends. But Santa now comes very early on Christmas morning :)

Santa ate all of the cookies and the reindeer only left the tops of the carrots. But Santa did have time to write a note to Isabelle and Ellie.

After Christmas we visited with the Bethany, Juliana, and Amelia. We were lucky enough to get to see them twice while they were visiting from AZ.

Ellie's Baptism....

This past weekend we celebrating Ellie's Baptism. We were lucky to beat the big snow storm! Ellie was a perfect angel and was excited to welcome Marc and Bethany as her Godparents! She is a lucky girl to have such great role models in her life. Isabelle's Godparents (Dave and Jen) were present and George Godparent's were present (Toe-knee and Ed)...

A special thanks for everyone who cooked food and helped make this day so special.

Juliana and Amelia (future baby-sitters?) loved holding Ellie and were very loving toward our little special bundle of joy. We were lucky enough to have some time to catch up with our favorite friends from Arizona! Isabelle and Bethany relationship started a bit rocky but over time they have become very close (as shown in the picture!)
