Favorite pictures of the last month

We have been really bad about updating the blog recently. So to make up for it, this entry is going to have all of our favorite pictures from the last month. We have been really busy with the dance recital, Isabelle got a big girl bed, Father's Day, going to the beach and pool, 4th of July, and just having a fun summer. So thanks for being loyal blog readers. We hope you enjoy this "catching up" entry.

Tubby time is really fun at our house. Both girls love to play in the tub together.

A few weeks ago George and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. It has been a crazy 4 years. But there is no one else I would rather be on this crazy ride with !!

This pretty much sums up Ellie. Smiley and happy.

And this sums up Isabelle. She loves to play dress up. Especially with my shoes (she calls them high heels) and purse.

Isabelle just a big girl bed. She originally wanted Spider Man sheets. But in the end she decided on Mickey Mouse and Tinkerbelle. A very special thank you to Daddy, Grampy, and Jen for moving and putting her bed together and Ellie's crib together on Father's Day (and one of the hottest days of the year).

This past weekend Isabelle had her first dance recital! She has been practicing for months (if you couldn't tell already) and has really enjoyed meeting her new friends and spending time at Dunkin Donuts after each dance class :-) A special thanks for Grammy, Grampy, Nana, Papa and Aunt Jen for coming to the show! Isabelle was so excited and continues to do her dance in the kitchen each night (sometimes even in high heals).... :-)

Some video of Isabelle and Ellie being silly. Ellie is really growing up! She is 8 months old and is really displaying her personality. She is so calm, easy going and loves to laugh and smile. She has become a tremendous eater as well (if you couldn't tell already). She has started to crawl and is showing signs of wanting to stand up. We think she is going to be a quick learner :-).

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a very busy but super fun memorial day weekend. We packed in all of our favorite summer events into one weekend (hanging out by Grammy & Grampy's pool and having a cook out, going to the beach, getting ice cream, going to cousin Will's baseball game, and playing in the sprinkler) !! The weather was perfect and we enjoyed as much outside time as possible.

Below are a few highlights from the weekend.

Ellie's first trip to the beach !! It was a short one, but she seemed to enjoy herself. There will be plenty more beach time for her in the next few months.



Isabelle has decided that she "loves the beach." - A quote from her. She was scared of the water last year. As you can see from the picture above that is not the case this year. She played in the 51.7 degree water and loved every minute of it. She is going to be a water bug just like her Mom :)

We did take time on Monday to celebrate Memorial day. We went to the town parade and also went to a few ceremonies at the local cemeteries. Thank you to all of you have served or are serving right now. We cannot thank you enough.

In the last year Isabelle also got over her fear of the sprinkler. She and Daddy played in the sprinkler for about and hour and I don't think she stopped running and laughing the whole time.

Her hair may be shorter, but it still looks really funny when the static electricity kicks in as she goes down the slide.

This weekend we witnessed just how much Isabelle has grown up in the last year. She is no longer scared of the pool, the beach, and even trying new things at the playground. She is turning into a brave little girl. I think this weekend was a preview of how fun this summer is going to be for all of us. Stay tuned......

Busy Weekend!

We decided to get Isabelle a "Summer Cut". She did great and received a wonderful prize at the end of her haircut! We have caught her a few times checking herself out on the mirror. She is either questioning where her hair went or really loving her new look :-)

Ellie continues to be super! She has started to "crawl" - translation - she can move backwards a bit but is showing signs of moving forward :-) Stay tuned!

We made an unplanned visit to Nana and Papa's house to see how the recovery is going. Papa is doing really well and is training for the Olympics now that he has a new knee! Nana looks great and is making her way around the house and on her way to joining Papa on his training missions soon! Aka - her hip is recovering as expected!

On Sunday, we met up with our friend Dan and his two lovely girls Emma and Wylie for the local PMC kids ride. Emma and Wylie were super and we enjoyed watching them and having lunch with them. Isabelle came home and wanted to practice riding her bike for next year!

It has been a long time.......the girls are now teenagers!

Ellie putting Isabelle in a submission hold! She eventually worked this into a "figure four". Ellie isn't in the light weight class and likes to challenge her sister especially when Isabelle takes her toys! Can't wait till they are teenagers and fighting over boys!
