Snow, Birthday, Snow, Aquarium, Snow.....

Mother Nature has a really twisted sense of humor. We had such a wonderful summer, that now she has decided to pay us back with snow storm after snow storm. We have had so much snow fall this month, that I forget what it is like to actually see the ground !!!
But that has not stopped us from having fun. So below is recap of what we have been up to since our last post.

Isabelle has started taking swim lessons. After a rocky start she has started to really enjoy her lessons. She even jumped into the pool all by herself last week. We are so proud of her. This picture is of Isabelle with her friend Ben and her favorite swim instructor Mr. Donald.

A few weeks ago we headed up to Nana and Papa's to celebrate the January Girl's birthdays (Colleen, Nana, Mary, Grace). We had a great meal and fun with with everyone. As you can see from this picture, it was really cold and snowy out. But being stuck inside leads to craziness, and Ellie decided to run around almost naked, while Isabelle danced on a chair. That is what being house bound will do to 2 rambunctious little girls :)

Last weekend we headed to the Aquarium with Marc and Jill. This picture pretty much sums up the whole experience for Ellie. She loved it. With every new thing she saw, she made this face and said, "WOW" over and over again. Ellie's reaction was my favorite part of the whole day.

We also had a visit from our friend Dave. We haven't seen him in a long time. But it was great to catch up and see him. The girl's loved playing with him.

Christmas 2010

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying 2011! We had a great holiday season and enjoyed our time off - minus the girls getting sick :-( but we were fortunate enough to catch up with many friends and family. Please enjoy the below pictures - we had fun making these pictures forever memories!

We headed to Grammy and Grampy's for Christmas Eve! We had a great dinner (thanks Grammy) and the girls loved playing with Lindsey, Drew, Amy, Bob and Sue! Isabelle and Ellie were excited and tracked Santa throughout the night!

Santa did indeed stop at our house! Santa left the girls a letter and reminded them to continue their good behavior! Isabelle and Ellie ripped through their presents and were shocked Santa brought them what they had been asking for including pants, pajama, books and puzzles! Ellie decided to make Christmas even more memorable by "barfing" right before Grammy, Grampy, Jen and Greg arrived (never a dull moment!). She was a trooper and didn't let go of her "puffs" or "yogurt melts" for the duration of the morning!

Special thanks to Aunt Eileen for her Christmas gifts! We were fortunate to have >12 inches of snow fall after Christmas and the girls loved outfitting "Frosty" with his accessories from Aunt Eileen (a little touch of NYC!). Mary and I pulled thr girls around the house on sleds and Dad happened to dump both girls out of their sleds and into the snow!! Frosty's life was cut short as a result of 50 degree weather a few days later but we loved looking at him every night before bed time!

Ellie sleeping off her little sickness! She had her "lovies" and her "binky" - what more could a girl ask for - to keep her comfortable!

We headed to the "big city" to hang with Marc and Jill for "pizza night". Isabelle and Ellie were very excited to see the "city lights". The girls made some pizzas!! One of the hi-lights of the night was playing with "Jinx the Cat"!! Special thanks to Marc and Jill for hosting - we all had a great night out!

Isabelle and her cousin Frank just being silly while accomplishing a bed time chore! Mary and Isabelle headed up to Nana and Papa's house for the "family" Christmas party at the community center. Unfortunately George and Ellie couldn't make it as a result of Ellie being sick! Isabelle loved getting her Christmas gift from Uncle Patrick and had fun playing with her 1000 cousins!

Grammy and Isabelle spent some time making Christmas cookies! Mom and Dad were shocked how good the cookies were - for real they were yummy! Ellie and Isabelle helped Grammy and Grampy decorate for Santa by hanging ornaments and setting up the village as well.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Flair

We had a fun and busy Thanksgiving weekend. We ran a 5K, ate like pigs, and spent time with several family members. Overall it was a great weekend and we are thankful for all of our friends, family, and loyal blog readers.


Don't I look so happy to be getting ready to run a 5k :) I wanted to quit half way through. But George would not let me. And I am so glad he made me finish !! In case you can't tell from our outfits, we ran the 5K at George's high school. And oh ya, he is wearing his hockey jersey and warm up pants from high school. Pretty impressive !!

After our run we had worked up quite an appetite. So we headed to Grammy and Grampy's for dinner. A special thank you to Grammy and Aunt Eileen for all of the cooking they did for us. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious !!

We were lucky enough to spend much of the weekend with Aunt Eileen. It was great to see her and the girls loved playing with her. We are looking forward to seeing her again when we visit her at the Jersey Shore this summer :)

We headed up to Nana and Papa's the day after Thanksgiving for our second
Thanksgiving dinner. Ellie loved Nana's apple pie. She actually ate that whole piece in front of her by herself. She mastered the use of the spoon while she conquered that piece of pie. You can tell from this picture that she was all business while she devoured the pie.

With Thanksgiving over we have moved on to the next holiday. This past weekend we cut down our Christmas tree, put up all of our Christmas flare, and of course the outside lights. This is a picture of George using his "apple like deltoids" to cut down our tree :)

Last couple weeks (pre T-Day!)

Ellie sporting her "Donald Trump" hair! She has recently entered the word of "pony tails"!

Ellie has also entered the world of "shoes"! She has been walking / running for a little over a month so some new shoes were much needed! A special thanks to Grammy for helping us shop for shoes! I can imagine how this obsession is going to get out of control! Girls and shoes - yikes!

Papa was a bachelor last week with Nana relaxing in FL with her sisters. We promised Papa a dinner date at the Olive Garden for his birthday a few months back! We (Papa, Grammy, Mary, George, Ellie, Isabelle) all joined the clean plate club and had a great dinner ; the wine was pretty good too :-)

This past weekend we hosted a sleepover!! Julianna and Tyler (along with their parents) ventured to our house for a Saturday night party! The kids were awesome and super well behaved! Our house looked like a tornado blew threw it!! We all survived :-) Special thanks to Kelly / Fern for the yummy lasagna, cookies and wine!

Isabelle and I had a date on Sunday! We went to a hockey game!! Isabelle had a lot of fun drinking her soda, eating sweets and looking for the alligator (really it is a shark!). We topped of our date with a trip for "Chinese" - Isabelle's request!
