Christmas 2009- Ellie's First Christmas

We had a great holiday and were able to see so many special people. Ellie's first Christmas was really fun for all of us. But she slept through most of the festivities. We are still recovering from Christmas so that is why this post is so overdue :)

It is a Christmas Eve tradition to get together with neighborhood friends after dinner. We used to stay out much later with these friends. But Santa now comes very early on Christmas morning :)

Santa ate all of the cookies and the reindeer only left the tops of the carrots. But Santa did have time to write a note to Isabelle and Ellie.

Part two of Christmas day was heading up to Nana and Papa's house. Ellie decided to take a nap on Papa.

After Christmas we visited with the Bethany, Juliana, and Amelia. We were lucky enough to get to see them twice while they were visiting from AZ.

Ellie's Baptism....

This past weekend we celebrating Ellie's Baptism. We were lucky to beat the big snow storm! Ellie was a perfect angel and was excited to welcome Marc and Bethany as her Godparents! She is a lucky girl to have such great role models in her life. Isabelle's Godparents (Dave and Jen) were present and George Godparent's were present (Toe-knee and Ed)...

A special thanks for everyone who cooked food and helped make this day so special.

Juliana and Amelia (future baby-sitters?) loved holding Ellie and were very loving toward our little special bundle of joy. We were lucky enough to have some time to catch up with our favorite friends from Arizona! Isabelle and Bethany relationship started a bit rocky but over time they have become very close (as shown in the picture!)

Oh ya - it snowed!!

Oh Chrsitmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

This weekend we decorated our Christmas tree. After moving it to 3 different spots in the family room we found the perfect home for our short and fat tree. George, Isabelle, and I had fun decorating the tree while Ellie sat very patiently and watched us. It looks great !!

Christmas Tree and Flair

The Christmas spirit has officially hit the Spencer house. We got our Christmas tree, put up the village and flair around the house, and we put up the lights outside. And with the fresh coating of snow it is looking a lot like Christmas at our house!

We went on the "Jingle Bell Walk" and walked up to the beach with Santa. It was fun, but very very cold .

This is what happens when Isabelle does not take a nap and is surrounded by Christmas flair. Pure silliness !!

You can't read Ellie's shirt, but it says Little Sister. This was going to be our Christmas card. Obviously, this did not make the cut. But is is still a cute picture.

Ellie missed her first Christmas tree cutting experience. But she stayed warm and dry while the rest of us were freezing and running around in the rain.

We ventured out last weekend to go to a local tasting of Beauport Vodka and Knockabout Gin from RW Wood. I had been waiting almost 10 months to taste the product. Well, it was worth the wait ! And it was great to see Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathy.

Post Thansgiving fun

After we recovered from Grammy and Grampy's thanksgiving feast we headed up to Nana and Papa's for some more fun. Isabelle and Ellie had a great time playing with their cousins and eating leftovers.

Thanksgiving

We had a very busy Thanksgiving week. We ate too much and visited with family and friends from near and far. It was a great holiday and Ellie really enjoyed her first Thanksgiving. We are very thankful for our wonderful family and friends and for all of our loyal blog readers !!
