Fall Fun and Halloween

Fall is officially here. It is colder and getting dark earlier. But we are having fun with all of the activities that go along with fall. We have been apple picking, playing in the leaves, and of course we celebrated Halloween weekend !

Below are pictures of the girls over the last 2 months.

The girls love raking the leaves and then jumping in the pile. Daddy raked for 5+ hours last Sunday so there aren't too many leaves to play in any more. But the yard will be full again soon !

Another way we got rid of leaves was to make scarecrows. We made one scarecrow for each of us. Check out the heads on the girls :)

Fall also means the start of the Bruins season. Ellie is a huge fan as you can see. She is accessorizing with her pink purse :)

A few weeks ago we went apple picking. Daddy and Ellie on a hayride on the way to the orchard to go apply picking.



Grammy went apple picking with us. She also went to the playground with us and decided to show Isabelle how to swing. Grammy has great form :):)

Isabelle loved apple picking. I have never seen her eat an entire apple by herself before this day. She really enjoyed the fresh apples.

The girls and their neighborhood friends. We had a great time trick or treating on Halloween. The kids ran around in the freezing cold and now we are all enjoying the candy they collected.

Ellie's First Birthday !!

It is hard for me to believe that it has been a year since Ellie was born. The past 12 months have gone by so quickly. But I also feel like I don't remember life without Ellie. She is such a great kid and a joy to have around. She has made our family complete and I can't wait to see what the next year of her life brings. She is a cuddly, curious, funny, sassy little girl. We all love our little Bubba so much :)

Summer 2010

Needless to say, we have been very bad about keeping up with the blog recently. That is because we were so busy having summer fun. So this post is a little glimpse into all of the fun times we had during the summer of 2010. Thank you to everyone that joined in the fun !
Below is a random (and out of order) mix of pictures that chronicle some of the highlights of the summer.

Nothing says summer, more than the PMC. This event is a Spencer Family tradition. As most of you know, George completed his tenth PMC in August. We all enjoy that weekend and watching him cycle across the state each summer. Maybe someday the girls will do the PMC with their Dad :)

Almost all of the cousins (we are missing Koda). We decided to go for a walk in the dark to the "the old bone yard"- (cemetery) on Papa's birthday. The kids had to much fun carrying flashlights and going for a walk in the dark. And going to the cemetery was an appropriate way to celebrate Papa's birthday. He loves the old bone yard !

Speaking of Robert and Janet. We spent quite a bit of time with them this summer. Thanks for playing with us whenever we come up to visit Nana and Papa.

And what would summer be without painted toenails ! By the end of the summer I was pretty good at painting Isabelle's nails. But it is harder than it looks !

We spent quite a bit of time at the beach. This is a picture of a special day at the beach. Isabelle had so much fun playing with Jules and Tyler all day.

Marc and Jill are great friends too :) We had a fun day in the city with them a few weeks ago.

We also got to visit with Meredith. It was a short visit. But it was great to see her.

We snuck away one day and went to the zoo with Bethany. It was so wonderful to see her and spend the day with her. The zoo was so fun.

Birthday Weekend

Last week Isabelle turned 3. It is hard for me to believe that it has been three years since I first laid eyes on her. She has become a beautiful, fun, smart, energetic little girl. And I can't wait to see what the next year brings for her. She has grown up so much over the last year. She has become a huge help with Ellie and she is taking her job as big sister very seriously :) We are all lucky to have Isabelle in our lives and love her very much. She makes us laugh every day and I love watching her grow up and explore the big world. We love you Isabelle.

We all made it through Isabelle's birthday weekend. It was crazy and a little chaotic, but a whole lot of fun. We have posted a few pictures of the birthday party below.


Ellie had such a great time at the party, she literally fell asleep eating dinner. And we all know that she likes to eat. So for her to fall asleep during a meal, that means she had a great time at the party :)
