We had a particularly fun long weekend!! The weather was super for Isabelle's first birthday party!! Isabelle's birthday party was Saturday and she had a great time eating (wearing) her cake and ice cream, opening her presents, seeing all of her friends and of course laughing and smiling all day! Special thanks to everyone who came to her party and helped make the day run so smoothly. It is hard to believe that one year ago Isabelle was just a big bump in Mommy's belly and about two years ago she wasn't even a cell yet :-) Life is amazing!
The rest of the weekend we spent baby-proofing our house which really translates to moving around furniture and converting our house in Isabelle's playroom :-). She is beginning to show signs of starting to walk and her crawling capabilities are really sprints. In addition, Isabelle got her car seat turned around to face forward - now we get to watch her every move :-)
Labor Day we spent at my godparent's house as we crashed their party! It was great to catch up and hang out with people we don't see nearly enough and share many stories of growing up in the old neighborhood.
